After graduation from the University of Southampton in 1996 I spent two years at Southampton General Hospital as a junior physiotherapist before moving to the Wessex Nuffield Hospital where I was actively involved in the Wessex Knee and Sports Injury Unit as well as working in elective orthopaedics.

I started Walnut Tree Physiotherapy in 2003 to help clients with a wide range of musculo-skeletal problems. In 2004 I gained my Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice from the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine (formerly the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine).

I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and I am also registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.

Over the years I have worked with British Swimming, British Gymnastics, British Diving and the British Olympic Association treating elite athletes in training and competition.

I graduated from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh in 1983.  Having spent a number of years at a senior level in the NHS treating musculoskeletal injuries, I specialised in 1988 in upper limb rehabilitation. Since qualifying I have worked for a number of private practices across the country, involving the treatment of top level athletes in a wide range of sports including premier league football. From 1999 until 2009 I was employed to manage the hand service in the Wessex Nuffield Hospital, Chandlers Ford before becoming a partner in Walnut Tree Physiotherapy in April 2004. I now run a specialised hand, wrist and elbow service  - Hampshire Hand Therapy which has included contracts with the NHS, New Hall Hospital, Salisbury and the BMI Sarum Road Hospital, Winchester.

I now work closely with the Southampton Treatment Centre, Royal South Hants Hospital to treat NHS postoperative hand patients. I have a special interest in work place injuries and complimentary therapy and hold a post graduate qualification in acupuncture.

I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.
